A leading national retailer in the FMCG sector is seeking an experienced Distribution Centre Manager to oversee operations at its Perth facility. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring efficient stock movement, optimising supply chain processes, and supporting a growing network of stores.
The Role As the Distribution Centre Manager, you will take full ownership of DC operations, ensuring the seamless receipt, processing, and dispatch of stock to meet the needs of 40+ stores across WA. Reporting to the National Logistics Manager, you will lead a dedicated team to achieve productivity targets, compliance standards, and continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining a strong focus on workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities - Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring smooth and timely stock movement.
- Implement best practices to improve efficiency, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness.
- Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, and warehouse compliance.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a skilled team, fostering a positive and high-performance culture.
- Work closely with transport providers to optimise logistics and delivery processes.
- Identify and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
- Control costs, manage budgets, and drive process improvement initiatives.
- Maintain strong cross-functional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
What You Need to Succeed - Proven leadership experience in warehouse operations, distribution, logistics, or supply chain management.
- A track record of driving operational improvements and achieving performance targets.
- Ability to problem-solve and make data-driven decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and people management skills, with the ability to coach, motivate, and develop teams.
- Proficiency in WMS and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
