We’ve had an outstanding response to Retail Employer Of The Year in 2021, thousands of nominations were received acknowledging the effort businesses across Australia and NZ put into cultivating great workplace environments for their teams.
The market for quality candidates is tight, and so employer branding is more important than ever. To attract and retain top talent, businesses must ensure that all aspects of their employer brand are up to scratch, it’s not just about a ping-pong table in the lunchroom anymore! Many nominations from the current employees of this year’s winners were centred around leadership, with qualities of clear, honest communication and a family culture throughout the entire team.
Another prominent theme from this year’s winners we businesses who take the team on the history and journey of their products. Whether that be their products being ethically sourced, of high quality, sustainable, locally made or good value for money. It builds a passion in their employees which is passed on to customers in the service they receive.
